Module 1: ReSHAPE THE CONVERSATION

The ESSENTIALs of COACHING 

This module covers the essentials of coaching.

 

Our training has been developed and is presented by a team with deep real-world experience. Each team member has at least 25-years experience in working cross-culturally with social impact organizations in Africa, Asia, Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.  As a result, our interactive training modules are rich with real-world examples.

 

In the lessons included in this module, participants will:

 

  • Define coaching as it relates to other professions;

 

  • Gain an overview of all 11 ICF core competencies;

 

  • Learn how to shape the flow of a coaching session from start to finish;

 

  • Create a safe space for the group’s learning experience;

 

  • Practice active listening;

 

  • Practice asking powerful questions that create awareness;

 

  • Use direct communication;

 

  • Support a client in designing actions with appropriate planning, goal-setting, progress, and accountability.

 

 

Module 2: COACH TO BUILD RESILIENCE

COACHING for DEEPER TRANSFORMATION

In this module, participants will experience coaching at a deeper level and commit to coaching clients towards transformation in order to build their resilience.

 

This isn't just theory for the authors and trainers of this module. Each of us has lived in at least three different countries, on at least two different continents, with our families. We bring a lifetime of experience, and at times struggle, with the topics covered.

 

In the lessons included in this module, participants will:

 

  • Practice using Dilts’ Logical Levels model to create deeper awareness.

 

  • Apply effective coaching strategies to a variety of client scenarios to bridge the gap to work-life integration.

 

  • Develop strategies for coaching clients through life transitions.

 

  • Develop strategies for coaching clients towards building their own resilience.

 

  • Establish a framework for integrating this learning into their coaching practice.

 

Module 3: Create a coaching culture

CHANGE THE WAY YOU WORK

This module weaves the whole course together. Participants explore how to establish a coaching culture with their organizations. 

 

As authors and trainers, we have established, led and mentored organizations across the world. We have worked with countless leaders at every level and helped them make the shift towards coaching.

 

In the lessons included in this module, participants will:

 

  • Explore the benefits of, and develop strategies for, encouraging and strengthening a coaching culture within their organizations.

 

  • Learn how to communicate the benefits of coaching using a simple ROI calculation.

 

  • Based on an organizational lifecycle model, explore how they will coach clients in various seasons.

 

  • Develop their procedures for client engagement from the first contact through to wrap-up and potential re-contracting.

 

  • Commit to upholding ICF ethics in their coaching practice.
